Zimmer MedizinSysteme Cryo 5- The First Zimmer Medizin Chiller
Zimmer MedizinSysteme Cryo 5 is a state of the art laser cooler that provides performance and power. This speaks of a device that has revolutionized cosmetic laser coolers. Traditional ice packs, contact cooling, and cryogen sprays can only do so much before or after the treatment. But with the Zimmer MedizinSysteme Cryo 5, you get cooling at 6 fan speeds that can cool the epidermis before, during, and after the treatment. The Cryo 5 chiller is intended to minimize pain and thermal injury during laser and dermatolocial treatments. The Cryo 5 can also provide temporary anesthetic relief for injections.
Zimmer MedizinSysteme Cryo 5- Design & Innovation
The Zimmer MedizinSysteme Cryo 5 is a laser cooler that uses refrigeration elements to chill ambient room air to a therapeutically effective degree (-30C). A therapy fan, which can be regulated in six steps, draws in room air through a coarse dust filter into an evaporator, where it is then refrigerated and delivered to the treatment site via an insulated application tube. The air pulled into the therapy fan is not used to cool the device itself. Device operation occurs through the silicon keyboard on the front glass panel. All device functions, regulation and control of the regrigeration system are controlled by the microprocessor. The Cryo 5 electrical hardware consists of three boards, which are mounted onto the plastic top, the Display Board, CPU Board, and Power Supply Board. The refrigeration system primarily consists of a compressor, condenser, security pressure control, filter dryer, thermostatic expansion valve, evaporator and cooling agent. Numerous hardware and software features have been installed into the Cryo 5 to insure patient and user safety. The Cryo 5 requires no consumables, as it only needs ambient room air and electricity.
Zimmer MedizinSysteme Cryo 5- Award-Winning Presence
The Cryo 5 cooler features displays and keys on the front panel to provide the operator status and operation action of the chiller. The On/ Off Display when lit indicates the Cryo 5 unit is operable, if it should go out along with the other indication displays it is possible that a malfunction has occurred which burned out the primary fuses of the device. The Standby Display when lit indicates the unit is operable. When blinking the Cryo 5 is proceeding to a Minimal load or defrosting, the unit is inoperable at this point. The Remove Condensate Display indicates the container for defrosted water should be emptied, when lit no treatment is possible. The Clean Air Display when lit indicates the filter should be vacuumed. The Defrost Display when lit indicated to either Defrost the system or the defrosting procedure is running, system is inoperable at this point. The Service Indication Display is lit when the Cryo 5 presents a defect in the functioning. An acoustic signal and an error number should be provided. The Air Current Flow Keys provide the operator an option to either increase or decrease the air flow, and the Air Current Flow Indication Display indicates the present level. The Therapy Time Adjustment keys provide the operator an option to either increase or decrease the treatment time, and the Digital Therapy Display time indicates the present treatment time. The Start/ Stop key starts and stops the treatment time and use of the Zimmer MedizinSysteme Cryo 5 unit.
The Cryo 5 after transporting should not be turned on for at least 30 minutes. Do not place the Zimmer MedizinSystems Cryo 5 near heating systems/ elements, and insure a minimum of 24″ of free space behind the Cryo 5 for quality air circulation. You may be required to defrost the Cryo 5 unit when air current flow is lower than normal or if the environment becomes too humid. Removing the condensate from the 2-liter water container will be mandatory, as well as cleaning the filter every 150 hours of system use.
